Gain the knowledge and skills you need to facilitate a CDC-recognized lifestyle change program to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. By becoming a trained Lifestyle Coach, you’ll enhance your professional skills as you help people with prediabetes eat healthy, move more, and manage stress.
Participants will learn all about the National Diabetes Prevention Program, understand the responsibilities of Lifestyle Coaches, and explain how an intensive lifestyle change program can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. You’ll discover how to motivate participants, deliver content in engaging and culturally connected ways, and facilitate lifestyle change groups.
This session is based on the 2021 CDC DPP Recognition Standards and Operating Procedures and the 2021 CDC curriculum.
